Way back in 2007 I came to Japan on a whim, fell in love with the country, and have been living here full-time since 2013. I’ve lived in Hiroshima, Kyoto and most recently Nagoya, and when I’m not working I’m usually found sightseeing or zooming around the Nagoya area on my bicycle.

I still live in Kawasaki, but I work in the AAJ office now as the English editor. I spend most of my free time studying, reading comics, watching movies and gaming (video, board and tabletop). I love to travel, eat good food and drink.

I learned cooking from my mom at a young age. She cooked for us every night and I still get very excited when I visit my home in Japan because I can eat her delicious meals. The name Just One Cookbook came from my passion to make "just one cookbook" for all my family recipes, so I can save all the recipes my family enjoys in one place and then one day pass them on to my children.
