Ramen Dojo Osaka Opens in Dotonbori: Make Your Own Bowl
Most visitors meet ramen, one of Japan’s best-loved dishes, at a restaurant counter. At Ramen Dojo Osaka, a new facility in Dotonbori, visitors can make the bowl themselves.
By AAJ Editorial TeamFrom Noodles to Bowl
Ramen Dojo Osaka recently opened in Dotonbori, one of Osaka’s busiest food and entertainment districts. It is operated by Viyago Japan, which also runs Ramen Dojo Tokyo in the Ikejiri-Ohashi neighborhood.
Staff guide participants through the ramen-making process. They make their own noodles, then choose their preferred broth and toppings to create a bowl to their taste. Once finished, they can sit down and enjoy the ramen they have made.
For Families and Groups
Ramen Dojo Osaka can accommodate up to 60 participants. That covers solo travelers, families, and groups of friends, as well as larger parties such as school trips and corporate tours. Sessions are offered in Japanese and English, and private bookings can be arranged upon request.
The facility is located in Dotonbori, a lively neighborhood known for its restaurants, neon signs, and Osaka specialties such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki. Besides exploring the streets and sampling the local food, visitors can add another culinary experience to their itinerary.
