For the safety of visiting customers, Tokyo Disneyland has virus-preventative measures in place, including taking body temperature at 28 locations.

Characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse greeted visitors in front of Cinderella Castle, and some fans were actually moved to tears that their favorite theme park finally reopened.

The operator of the two facilities are limiting visitors to less than half the usual number to avoid crowding, and tickets can only be purchased online. The two parks will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the time being.
