Oodles of Noodles Land New World Record
This massive tub of instant noodles was part of a massive challenge; an attempt to hold the world’s largest instant noodle tasting event ever! 5,000 people have turned out in Gunma Prefecture—the birthplace of Peyoung Yakisoba—to watch and enjoy a serving size nearly 1,500 times a normal serving.

This mammoth undertaking required 80 liters of water and 1,500 sauce and seasoning packets. The entire mix weighed 640 kilograms (over 1,400 pounds!), and was an unbelievable 781,830 calories! Our one regret is that we weren't there to partake in this record-setting event ourselves!
