Designer Tomohiro Ikegaya was born on March 1982 in Shizuoka Prefecture's Shimizu Ward. He studied architecture and performed as a musician during his studies, and started design label Goodbymarket in 2011. The name reflects his belief that the power of markets produces something good.

Being inspired by the proximity of Mount Fuji to his hometown in Shizuoka, Goodbymarket's first creation was a series of products based around Mount Fuji as the central theme—like the envelope above!
