In an incredibly meta attempt at representing the molecular structure of glass using—of course—glass, Japanese design firm Nosigner has collaborated with Japanese glass manufacturer Asahi Glass to create an installation titled Amorphous at Milan Design Week 2016.

And what is it? Using 5,000 pieces of thin glass suspended in midair, the non-crystalline molecular structure of glass is modeled one billion times its actual size.
