| Airport , Flight

The Japanese government eased travel restrictions for nine countries including China on October 30.

Travel advisories to China, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, and five other locations were lowered as the pace of the novel coronavirus infections in the areas is slowing. Traveling to those regions were previously banned. But now people will be able to travel between Japan and the eligible countries for necessary or urgent visits, such as business purposes.

Foreigners with medium and long-term residence status will also be permitted to enter. Tourists will remain barred from entry for the time being.
