Hakone Tozan Railway Is Ready to Roll

Typhoon-hit Hakone Tozan Railway is preparing to resume operations. The railway was partially destroyed last October by Typhoon Hagibis. Operators had a successful test run on Wednesday.

Operation between the railway's Gora and Hakone-Yumoto station has been suspended since then. A new facility opened at Sounzan Station on the Hakone Ropeway marking the reopening. Trains along the entire Hakone Tozan Railway will begin running again on July 23.
