Foreign Visitors to Japan in May Down 99.9%
Though surprisingly low, it should come as no surprise that the number of foreign visitors to Japan in May decreased 99.9 percent from last year due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Japan Tourism Agency said Thursday that 1,700 people entered the country last month. The figure is a new low for Japan, breaking the previous record of 2,900 set in April. The Japanese government has restricted international travel to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
