Garden Opened to Public Despite Outbreak

A garden in central Japan popular for its cherry blossoms is continuing its annual tradition of offering free admission to the public.

Kenrokuen in Ishikawa Prefecture is considered to be one of the country’s three best gardens. The move comes as several cherry blossom viewing spots in the country’s capital are closed in an attempt to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. Visitors can enjoy the garden free of charge until April 5th.
