The Seibu Group currently owns the amusement park featuring various attractions and a large swimming pool. While Toshimaen is set to close in stages, the Tokyo metropolitan government intends to purchase part of the site to build a park that can be used as an evacuation area. The Seibu Group, Warner Brothers and the Tokyo metropolitan government are expected to continue negotiations and finalize the plans as early as this spring.
