The flame will be lit in Olympia, Greece on March 12, 2020. It will arrive in Japan on March 20 via Matsushima Air Base in northeastern Japan. Sources say a JAL Boeing 787 will carry the flame, and that the aircraft will sport a special paint job and both company logos. JAL President Yuji Akasaka said his company will work with ANA to safely transport the flame.
