Charge up a kamehameha and sit in an Evangelion entry plug in Shinjuku! Opened in July 2017, VR Zone Shinjuku offers 16 immersive VR games, including Master the Kamehameha, which lets you charge up and fire Dragon Ball Z energy blasts—complete with force feedback and air blowing in your face—or you can rampage through Tokyo-3 as you fight Evangelion Angels in The Throne of Souls: Berserk. You can also slide into the fully immersive Arcade GP VR Mario Kart VR game, where you have to reach up to grab your items while steering through a treacherous course!

Located right next to Seibu Shinjuku Station, VR Zone Shinjuku can be accessed in about five minutes from the east-side koban (police box) exit of Shinjuku Station proper. Admission plus four colored game tickets costs ¥4,400 (with tax). Unfortunately, Dragon Ball and Evangelion are on the same blue ticket, so you'll have to make a choice or buy another pricey set. A few of the less popular games can be experienced with any ticket. Ghost in the Shell: Arise Stealth Hounds, on the other hand, is a separate ticket with a reserved play time, coming in at ¥3,600 including admission.
