Cooking in the Kitchen with Kitty Appliances

Toys Pets

Tiny toys are huge in Japan! While companies are constantly churning out new releases of pint-sized utensils that keep us entertained, the latest lineup—the third installment in a series called Nyanko Kaden, or “Kitty Electrical Appliances”—is one of the cutest we’ve ever seen!

The Kitty Microwave Set has a number of cute details, including a door that opens and closes, a microwave dish that can be turned by hand, cat-shaped buttons, and even a mochi rice cake that’s puffed up into the shape of a kitten’s head!

And if there’s something we really wished would exist in real life, it has to be this Kitty Hot Plate Set. While the shape of the machine is adorable, we’d love to eat those cat-faced takoyaki octopus balls!

The Kitty Onigiri Set serves up some feline-shaped rice balls, which fit snugly in a case for easy carrying.

The Kitty Cooking Set includes a knife, chopping board, measuring cup and spatula, plus a neat stand for storage.

And the Kitty Rice Cooker Set includes a cat-shaped rice scoop and an adorable cooker with detachable lid and cute pressable button, to really bring us into the tiny cooking fantasy world.

Although the five new designs have been available since the end of December 2015 from gachapon vending machines, you can buy the entire set online via Yahoo Japan for ¥1,000 (shipping not included).
