10.) Tokyo Chinese Muslim Restaurant

Just a three-minute walk from Kinshicho, this is first ever halal Chinese restaurant in the city, the Tokyo Chinese Muslim Restaurant. Here expect the highest quality of halal food as it is prepared by their in-house Muslim chef. They don’t have serve pork and everything else is made by beef sourced from a halal-certified American company and a halal butcher in Saitama. They even have a small prayer room where guests are welcome to pray before or after their meals. The restaurant serves alcohol but is not in the menu. Feel free to ask their friendly staff though.

Another notable halal ramen shop is the Naritaya Asakusa. This halal-certified ramen shop in Asakusa is for everyone (including Muslims) to enjoy authentic ramen without worrying. At the front door of the shop, you’ll already notice their halal certificate as they are proud to be certified by the Japan Islamic Trust. One can order their food through their easy-to-use ticket machine. There is also a prayer room on the second floor that guests are welcome to use. Just inform the staff if you when you would like to pray so they know when to serve your food.

This lovely restaurant has a Muslim-friendly menu waiting for you. They serve ramen, gyoza, and even takoyaki. Located just seven minutes from Ebisu Station on foot, it should be easy to spot. They also provide free WiFi connection for those who need to use the internet. Taking pictures and sharing them on social media are also allowed and welcome.

The thing about Origami Asakusa is that their food not only look good (enough for pictures) but it also tastes good. That and the fact that the restaurant is also inclusive that even Muslims can enjoy their authentic Japanese cuisine without worrying. If you’re looking for the best of both worlds, then come to the first ever halal Japanese-style cafe in Tokyo, the Halal Cafe & Sushi Akasaka Saryo Ouka. This lovely cafe serves the highest quality halal sushi, Wagyu Beef, and Japanese confectionery (such as anmitsu, pancake, and dainagon) in the city. There is no alcohol and no animal materials used in the food as they guarantee everything to be 100% halal.
