Yanaka Ginza is a shitamachi, or retro shopping street, filled with many traditional shops and street stalls from the 1950s. But one thing that sets this place apart from other shitamachi is its fame as a cat town, due to herds of strays making it their home. That's why on top of the traditional Japanese goods and delicacies, you'll find a lot of adorable cat-themed foods and souvenirs throughout Yanaka Ginza.

Yanaka Ginza is only a short walk from Nippori Station and Sendagi Station, so if you want a leisurely mix of Japanese history and cats, make sure you stop by.
