Vaccination for Japanese athletes to start on June 1
The Japanese Olympic Committee said on May 26 that around 1,600 athletes and related people will be vaccinated starting June 1. Vaccination will be held at the Ajinomoto National Training Center in Tokyo. Organizers say they have already secured the COVID-19 vaccines, and they are currently preparing for the vaccination. Apart from Japanese athletes, candidates, coaches, training partners and some JOC staff including President Yamashita Yasuhiro will be receiving the shots.
