At Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki, the poofy pink kochia plants of Kochia Hill—all 36,000 of them—look like something from a Dr. Seuss dreamscape in any season. But they are especially striking in autumn as the neighboring field of cosmos flowers comes into full bloom!

Typically mobbed with daytrippers and sidewalk-hogging watercolor enthusiasts, Hitachi Seaside Park is one of the most popular botanical gardens in the greater Tokyo area. This short video (as many commenters have noticed) offers a rare glimpse of the most popular section of the park with nary a human in sight!
