Hunt Through 2 Million Handmade Items!

Handicrafts Events Summer Festivals Tokyo Odaiba Greater Tokyo

Lovers of arts and crafts seldom fancy decorative or functional pieces that are made from only one type of material. HandMade in Japan Fes showcases independent designers who make tableware, furniture, jewelry, clothing, accessories and other trinkets from a wide range of materials in all the possible designs you can imagine.

The event boasts some 2 million items produced by over 5,000 different creators from all over Japan. Whether you're looking for something to spice up your wardrobe or living room, a gift for someone special or a functional piece of tasteful furniture or tableware, we're sure you’ll find it at HandMade in Japan Fes!

It’s not all shopping, though—there’s lots of entertainment, music, food and drinks too. And for those of you who like to be more hands-on, there are also more than 30 workshops you can sign up to join on the day!

Although dates change from year to year, the event is generally held on the second-last weekend of July at Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba. Single-day tickets are ¥1,500 on the day or ¥1,200 if you purchase them ahead of time (you can buy them on Loppi machines at Lawson convenience stores). If one day isn't enough, there are weekend tickets for ¥2,500, or ¥2,000 if you buy them in advance.
