The Japanese premiere of Star Wars: Episode VII, directed by J.J. Abrams, is scheduled for at 6:30 p.m. on December 18, 2015. Exactly one month before the premiere, on November 18, the limited-time event "Star Wars Tokyo Sky Walk at Tokyo Skytree" was kicked off at Tembo Galleria in Tokyo Skytree in Sumida-ku, Tokyo.

The opening event was presided over by two of the new Stormtrooper designs, who took photos with fans chosen by lottery. With the display scheduled to continue until February 11, 2016, Star Wars fans still have plenty of time to feel the force at 450 meters (1476 ft) above the ground!
